Help! My inbox is overrun and I can't filter emails, what do I do?

Zoho, as do all modern email services have filters and folders to organize your inbox and setting these up can help alleviate headaches, nausea and other side effects of having a large influx of emails. To set up a folder look for the "FOLDERS" button highlighted in blue and seen in the screenshot below, there'll be a plus button and clicking this will allow you to create a folder. Name it based on the types of emails you intend to be sent, for example "Newsletters" and then save. If you don't want to be notified of new emails entering that inbox, that's fine, just untick the "Notify me of new emails" button. Now you can drag emails from your inbox into this folder and they'll appear in that folder. To set up an automatic filter you'll want to click on the gear button and it'll bring up a settings menu. Find the filters tab and then click the "New filter" button highlighted in blue, choose a filter name such as "Newsletters". Under conditions it'll be automatically set to "From" but you can change this to a number of different conditions, in our case we'll change it to "Subject" and then a textbox will have changed to "Enter value". The value here can be anything you want to be filtered, it'll look at the Subject line of incoming emails and then filter based on keywords, so if it has "Newsletter" in the Subject Line all emails containing that will be sent to the "Newsletters" folder. Under actions it'll say "Move to" followed by "Select folder". Click on Select folder and then the folder you created, in our case "Newsletter" then click the blue save button. Play around with the different filter conditions but keep in mind some can overlap, so only really set them up with the values you consider crucial.

Admidio times out after 90 minutes of inactivity, being defined by not refreshing a page or clicking on a new one. Therefore it's imperative to keep saving drafts of emails if you intend on working on it over the course of the day, or to have another Admidio tab open to refresh. Passwords expire after six months, you will begin to get courtesy emails a few weeks in advance to remind you to reset. If Admidio and Connect are down, head to the Local Groups Biz Chat group on Telegram and check if there's a Pinned Alert in case its a planned outage, otherwise report it in here or send an email to it-support@vff.co.nz. The same goes for Zoho, though there shouldn't be planned outages on our end as we don't host the service.

Why does it say I have been blocked?

"Sorry, you have been blocked" followed by a giant red circle with a cross in it means you've been blocked by Cloudflare from accessing Connect. This is usually because you're using a VPN or in a country not on our whitelist (which includes most of Europe, Australia and the US from the top of my head). If you disable the VPN it should work and if by any chance you're on holiday in the third world, you can forward a request below for a temporary exemption .

Why do I keep getting an error when putting my six digit code in?

Most likely this is because your devices are not set to internet time or are otherwise set to different time zones. Authenticators are time sensitive, so you will have to ensure that both your computer and your phone are displaying the same time correct to the millisecond. Within the time settings on your computer or phone there is a button such as "Set time and date automatically" or "Set time automatically". Even if its enabled, try disabling and re-enabling it to be sure, this usually resolves any issues there are with your one-time-code being incorrect.

How do I reset my authenticator?

Say you have accidentally removed your authenticator or bought a new phone and can no longer access your one time code to login to VFF Connect, what can be done? Some people might have created an account with Authy or Ente, in which case on reinstall they can simply login to that app and it'll restore their Authenticator. In the case you've forgotten your account details or otherwise wish to start anew you will first have to lodge a request to have your authenticator removed, or as in the image below, remove it yourself in Keycloak. Section I: Resetting it yourself Warning, this assumes you still happen to be logged into VFF Connect and Admidio, skip if you are not already logged in. First head to Admidio and on the left hand sidebar click "SSO Password Change" which will redirect you to Keycloak. Following this, at the bottom of the page it will have a section called Two Factor Authentication, followed by the name of your device when you first set up your authenticator and on the right side of that is a large rectangular red button saying "Remove". 99% of the time this should remove it, the other 1% might cause global nuclear devastation, use at your own peril. In the case it succeeded and you don't see mushroom clouds outside your window it'll refresh your page and now in the place of the big red button is one that says "Set Up Authenticator". Click this and it'll ask you to enter your password followed by the Multi-Factor Authentication Setup page from when you were first trained as a coordinator. Now skip to section three for how to set up your coordinator. Section II: Remote authenticator reset In the case you cannot login and need your authenticator reset, you will have to forward a request to tech support in the form below. Within 24 hours you should get confirmation it has been reset and can now move onto section three. Section III: Two-Factor Authentication Setup Many have been initially set up with Authy and while the setup screen also recommends Google Authenticator among others, we recommend using Ente Auth now because of their desktop application support. iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ente-auth/id6444121398 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.ente.auth&hl=en_NZ Once installed you will be greeted with ente Authenticator followed by 3 options, New to Ente, Existing User and "Use without backups". It's not required to click New to Ente, though if you want to have a backup to restore from if you lose your phone or accidentally uninstall the app, you can press this which'll guide you through setting up an account - but we will assume you pressed "Use without backups". From here on out I cannot use screenshots to demonstrate due to security policy, but follow along. You will now be greeted with a setup your first account screen, simply click "Scan a QR code", approve the permission request (on Android this is "Allow Ente Auth to take pictures and record video", press "While using this app") and then point the phone at the QR code on the screen. Now it'll display a time revolving six digit code along with something like "VFF Coords Login: yourlogin". The six digit code changes every 30 seconds, so before entering the code put in the device name - which can be anything, as long as you can recognize it. Then enter the code and you will be logged back in. Keep in mind this won't work if your timezone is out of sync. Another FAQ is dedicated to this issue.

How do I reset my password while logged in?

It's fairly simple, first go to https://adm.vffnz.com and from there you will see on the left hand sidebar "SSO Password Change", click on this and it will redirect you to Keycloak. Where it says "My Password" will have sitting on the far right side a button that says "Update" where it will redirect you to the Connect login interface. Next you'll have to enter your current password followed by the one time code that'll come up on your Authenticator (either Authy or Ente). Finally it'll ask you to change your password. Requirements are as follows: 14 characters 1 special character 1 upper case character 1 lower case character My recommendation is to use a random password generator and/or a password manager such as LastPass or Keypass. Once a new password has been successfully submitted it will refresh you to the Keycloak page.

I am locked out of my account - how do I reset my password?

If you have forgotten your password you will have to lodge a request for a password reset at the bottom of this page. You should receive a temporary password within 24 hours which will log you in to Admidio and Connect. It is best practice to reset your password with one of your choosing using Admidio > SSO Password Change > My Password [Update] as explained in its own dedicated FAQ section.

What do I do if my password has expired?

In the case you have ignored or otherwise missed the password reset notifications, simply logging into your VFF Connect account will guide you through the process of resetting your password.

What is Voices For Freedom's stance on flyer delivery & gatherings during lockdown?

Any volunteers that may have engaged in delivery of Voices For Freedom flyers during level 4 lockdown would be entitled to do so lawfully given the permissions relating to “recreation”. Likewise any Voices For Freedom volunteers involved in recreation involving holding signs or wearing tee-shirts in groups of people would be similarly entitled to do so. That said, as a result of misinformation and disinformation being disseminated by various sources - including mainstream media - a majority of the public appears to have formed the erroneous belief that any type of recreation is prohibited. Therefore, Voices For Freedom has resolved at this time that it does not authorise flyers to be delivered and nor does it authorise group pop-ups to be held during level 4 lockdown. This is for the security of volunteers who might otherwise be the subject of misguided vigilante action. Relevant Legislation: Clause 21(d) of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Alert Level Requirements) Order (No 11) 2021 (“the Order”) permits people to leave their homes or places of residence to undertake exercise or other recreation in line with the clause relating to recreation in circumstances where they are maintaining two metres distance from each other (as far as is reasonably practicable). 21 Permissions for essential personal movement within alert level 4 area A person is permitted to leave their home or place of residence to do any of the following as essential personal movement (and then return to their home or place of residence afterwards): ... Limited recreation purposes (d) to undertake exercise or other recreation if— (i) it is done in an outdoor place appropriate for that kind of exercise or recreation that is readily accessible (including by using their vehicle) from their home or place of residence; and (ii) it is done in compliance with the requirements that relate to physical distancing (see clause 22) and the prohibition against gathering in outdoor places (see clause 30); and (iii) it does not involve swimming, surfing, scuba-diving, water-based activities involving boating, sailing boats, motorised craft, or motorised equipment, hunting in motorised vehicles, tramping, or flying manned aircraft; and (iv) it does not involve any other activities that expose the participant to danger or may require search and rescue services: 22 Physical distancing requirements for all individuals in alert level 4 area (1) All persons in the alert level 4 area must comply with the 2-metre physical distancing rule so far as is reasonably practicable. 30 Prohibition on gatherings in outdoor places (1) A person must not attend a gathering in any outdoor place in an alert level 4 area. (2) A person must not organise a gathering in any outdoor place in an alert level 4 area. (3)This clause does not apply to— (a) a gathering of fellow residents; or (b) any premises referred to in section 12(2)(d) of the Act. (4) A breach of subclause (2) is an infringement offence for the purposes of section 26(3) of the Act. gathering— (a) means people who are intermingling in a group; but (b) excludes people who remain at least 2 metres away from each other so far as is reasonably practicable.
